The leading Cyprological journal The Cyprus Review announces the results of its Annual Book Awards (CRABA 2025) for books published in 2024.

1. Political Sciences and History

Scientific Committee: Emilios Solomou, Petros Papapolyviou, Odysseas Christou, Michalis Kontos, Giorgos Charalambous, and Anastasia Yiangou.

• The Stanley Kyriakides Award in Political Science is conferred to Stella Theocharous for her book: Street Naming and the Politics of Greek-Cypriot Identity (Palgrave Macmillan)
• The Costas Kyrris Award in History is conferred to Michalis Stavri for his book: Νικόλαος Καταλάνος. Η συμβολή του στην πολιτική, κοινωνική και ιδεολογική κίνηση στην Κύπρο (1893-1921) (Ρίζες)

1. Social Sciences

Scientific Committee: Constantinos Phellas, Nasa Patapiou, Andri Papakyriacou, Sofia Iordanidou, and Evi Eftychiou

• The Peter Loizos Award in Social Sciences is conferred to Theodoros Kouros for his book Tactical Citizenships: Encounters with Everyday State in the Republic of Cyprus (Berghahn) 
• Honourable Mention is conferred to Maria Achilleos for her book: Η κοινωνία της Ρωμαϊκής Κύπρου βάσει επιγραφικών δεδομένων και αρχαιολογικών μαρτυριών υπό το πρίσμα του εκρωμαϊσμού, τ. Ι-ΙΙ, (Κέντρο Επιστημονικών Ερευνών) and to Maria Matheou and Argyro Xenophontos for their book: Τα Παραμύθια της Κύπρου, τ. ΙΙ, (Κέντρο Επιστημονικών Ερευνών)

1. Lifetime Achievement Award

• Two Lifetime Achievement Awards are conferred for 2025:

• In the field of History and Political Sciences, the Award is conferred to Sotiris Rizas for his multifaceted research and published work in the modern history of Cyprus
• In the field of Social Sciences, the Award is conferred to Kyprianos Louis, in recognition of his invaluable contribution to education and to the promotion of Cypriot archival research.
